The Client


Integrated Telehealth Partners (ITP) helps healthcare organizations reduce patient wait times, improve staff satisfaction and create more positive outcomes by increasing access to psychiatric care and therapy. ITP is a division of Psychiatric Medical Care, the country’s largest behavioral healthcare management firm with over 250 hospital and health center partners in more than 30 states. 

The Situation

Integrated Telehealth Partners had a vision to create a platform to address two common problems:

  • Providing access to 24/7 emergency psychiatric crisis evaluations for all participating hospitals through the creation of a telehealth platform

  • Creating an algorithm and procedure to place patients needing inpatient care at the nearest inpatient hospital with suitable psychiatric beds available

We worked with them to design and develop a multi-phase web software providing logins for telehealth providers, source hospitals, and inpatient hospitals while complying with applicable regulations including HIPAA and EMTALA.

As the platform gathered momentum, Integrated Telehealth Partners continued to pursue excellence by enhancing the platform, including HL7 integrations and automatic texts and phone calls to ensure prompt responses by the participants.

Part EHR, part telehealth platform, part logistics hub, this solution helps ensure fast, qualified care when patients need it most.

The Solution

The solution was a a series of portals for core users, providers, source hospitals and inpatient hospitals, that all work together to create a cohesive ecosystem of care.
